There was a lukewarm reaction from Northwest European monoethylene glycol producers following the settlement of the December contract price at Eur660/mt ($/mt) FD NWE. A second settlement was reached with producer Shell and Italian PET producer M&G late December 11, market sources said. The price is Eur28/mt higher than the November CP, which was settled at Eur632/mt in the last week of November, and follows an initial settlement done between Ineos and Belgian anti-freeze coolant producer Arteco.
