The assessment for December monthly contract prices was kept flat to the previous week Wednesday at Eur1,025-1,035/mt FD NWE for injection grade, Eur1,035-1,045/mt FD NWE for blow molding grade, and Eur1,020- 1,030/mt for film grade. Most producers said they had close order books earlier in the month. One producer said that any customers looking for last minute December volumes would face a Eur100/mt premium, however demand was said now to be quiet for December supplies with all eyes on January. Looking to the new year one producer said he would be concentrating on “Core sales and contractual volumes.” SABIC announced to customers a price increase for January business of Eur100/mt versus December levels on high density polyethylene (HDPE), a company source said Tuesday.
