Prices were assessed $10/mt higher Wednesday, compared to the corresponding day last week. Taiwan’s Formosa Petrochemicals had mostly sold out its production for January to China and India. Last week, FPC sold 15,000 mt of PVC to China for $940/mt CFR, although some market participants said overall volumes shipped by FPC to China could be higher. FPC had concluded deals ranging over $940-$950/mt CFR for shipments to China, and $960-$970/mt for parcels bound for the Indian market.
