Asian styrene monomer closed Friday at $1,414.50/mt FOB Korea, down $5.75/mt week on week, and at $1,437.50/mt CFR China, down $6.50/mt over the same period, as buying interest weakened, especially in China, where fading enduser demand could not sustain gains seen early in the week. The Asian SM market closed a volatile week bearishly, with both the FOB Korea and CFR China markers falling $17/mt Friday from the previous trading day, Wednesday. Markets were not assessed Thursday due to a public holiday in Singapore.
