Polypropylene prices in North Africa continued their upward spiral this week due to increased feedstock cost. Supply was heard constrained by production disruptions, although the issues were not severe enough to make the market short, sources said. A converter said spot prices were already "around the $1,600/mt levels," and felt this had made consumers hold back their purchases, adding: "Prices are so high at the moment...and buying has started to slow down."
