Following a recent price increase of $100/mt for the Andean region by both Brazilian and US sellers, one Latin American producer was weighing a possible second increase for H2 August. There was no announcement at time of publication. Braskem was last heard offering both film and blow molding into the Andean region at $1,600/mt on a CFR basis while injection grade material was pegged at $1,680/mt on a CFR basis. To the Mercosur, Braskem was heard offering August material at $1,730/mt for both blow molding and injection while film was at a roughly $20/mt discount. Freight from Brazil to the Mercosur was pegged at $120/mt this week.
