DMT producers in Europe saw paraxylene raw material costsdecrease for July by Eur85/mt and downstream a DMTconsumer announced price increases for its products. OnWednesday, producer Total and consumers Oxxynova andInvista all confirmed settling their July PX contracts atEur1,025/mt. The June contract was settled at Eur1,110/mt,meaning DMT producers saw a nearly 8% decline in theirJuly PX costs compared with the month before. A secondDMT producer agreed that demand in August was likely toremain stable, defying the traditional dip in demand forDMT seen in previous Augusts.
