The HDPE spot market saw injection grade prices sustainingstrength while blowmolding and film prices fell this week.Spot prices for injection grade moved up by Eur10/mt toEur1,130/mt FD NWE. A converter reported buying from aEuropean producer at Eur1,140/mt FD NWE, and from anEgyptian producer at Eur1,120/mt FD NWE. Meanwhile,blowmolding and uni-modal film lost steam, extending earlierfalls. Blowmolding prices drifted down by Eur20/mt on theweek to close at Eur1,080-1085/mt FD NWE. Uni-modal filmlost Eur20/mt closing at Eur1,075-1,080/mt FD NWE. Demandfor injection was reported to be more robust than that forblowmolding and uni-modal film, sources said. Availabilityfor blowmolding and uni-modal film — European and import—- was better, contributing to pressure, sources added.
