The Asian PVC price was unchanged Wednesday from theprevious week at $1,106/mt CFR China/Southeast Asia and$1,101/mt CFR India, ahead of official announcements ofAugust offers from Asian producers. Asian producers are setto increase their August-arrival offers at least by $30-50/mtfrom their settlement values of $1,090-1,110/mt CFR Chinaand $1,100/mt CFR India for July, reflecting rising feedstockcots, notably ethylene. On Wednesday, the CFR NortheastAsia ethylene price was assessed at $1,144/mt, up $13/mtfrom $1,131/mt last Wednesday. But PVC buyers in Asiawere not ready to accept such a price increase, keeping theAsian PVC price benchmarks flat.
