Butadiene prices surged $150/mt week on week Friday to$1,700/mt CFR China as local buyers secured cargoes acrossAsia. Two 1,500 mt cargoes for H2 December-loading were soldfor $1,700/mt CFR China, while sellers were targeting as highas $1,800/mt. Supplies in China were a bit tighter as crackerswere running at reduced rates due to poor olefins margins.China was the main buyer of spot cargoes this week, withcargoes from Malaysia and Singapore heading northwards.
