Novel Matting Agent for Improved Properties in Low VOC Coatings

摘要

In a paint at equal sheen level EcoFlat~(TM) 1880 offers improvements over natural DE in terms of colour and physical properties including mud-crack and scrub resistance. Better matting and scrub resistance are offered in comparison with calcined kaolin while maintaining equal opacity. Further benefits of EcoFlat~(TM) 1880 are that it is a natural mineral product with a low carbon footprint and a low crystalline silica content.
