The Schweizerische Bundesbahnen (SBB) have actual a fleet of 24 electrical Intercity tilting trains ICN in service. The trains are an integrated part of means needed for the offer ,,Bahn 2000", The history of procurement of the ICN is briefly described. During the first service and on the course of introducing step by step the trains in regular operation the manufacturers and the SBB have gained useful experiences and get over too some problems. 20 additional trains of the same type are now delivered.
