摘要

An operator's basic motivation for modernising rail vehicles for passenger traffic is the need to maintain the competitiveness of rail traffic. The paper presents various modernisation products of the Weiden-based PFA(Partner fur Fahrzeug-Ausstattung) company that differ in the depth of the modernisation work implemented. In addition, the article discusses a current project and gives an outlook on future modernisation projects along with a description of the prerequisites to be provided in the case of new construction projects in preparation for a cost-effective future modernisation.
