Fast-track construction brings ZLD goal closer

In August 2015 Shtang Construction and Engineering Ltd, of the TGW Group, completed the first phase of the US$80-million construction of an anaerobic digester facility at Israel's largest wastewater treatment plant, known as Shafdan, six months earlier than the contractual commitment - an achievement most would say was impossible. Unbelievable is what they say now. Located in Rishon Lezion, Shafdan treats and disposes of wastewater from an extensive, densely populated area that includes industrial zones, workshops, and businesses in 11 cities and towns including Tel Aviv, serving a population of approximately two million.
