Tobacco culture situation in the South of Brazil

Thanks to the favourable geographic dimension and to the existence of different micro climates various styles are grown, with quality and integrity recognized by the international market. With more than 100 years of history, the Brazilia tobacco sector is consolidated as the second largest grower and the biggest worldwide exporter. Tobacco production in the South of Brazil has practically doubled in the past 10 years. This growth was mainly due to the attendance of international market demands, as product's good quality and integrity, as welt as external market's demand increase, due to supply problems faced by other growing countries.
