NSM Naval Strike Missile (Nytt Sjomalsmissil: New Antiship Missile, aka Naval Strike Missile) is a recent Norwegian effort to develop a light antiship missile to replace its earlier Penguin antiship missile. Kongsberg received a development contract for the missile in December 1996. MBDA's participation in the program could lead to this missile becoming the follow-on to the current generation of European light antiship missiles including the French AS.15TT and the British Sea Skua.
