Curtin Maritime dredges the Los Angeles River with Cable Arm Environmental Clamshell

Curtin Maritime, Corp. of Long Beach, California ( CA ) was recently awarded the Port of Los Angeles River Estuary ( LARE ) Maintenance Dredging LA County Small Business Set Aside. A US$ 8M maintenance dredging contract issued by the US Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles District. Dredging began mid-December 2014 and is sheduled to be completed in four months. This is Curtin Maritime's first dredging job and with stiff competition in the bidding process Curtin was happily surprized to have won the contract.
