New Crowley tugs feature Senner-supplied equipment

On the New Orleans riverfront in October, Crowley Maritime Corp. christened the first two tugs in its Ocean-class series - the Ocean Wave and Ocean Wind. The 146'×46' DP-1 tugs were built at Bollinger Marine Fabricators in Amelia, La. The second pair of tugs, the Ocean Sun and Ocean Sky, will be DP-2, and 10' longer to accommodate the extra equipment. The Sun and the Sky are underway at Bollinger and will be delivered next year. The new tugs are outfitted for long-range, high-capacity ocean towing, rig moves, and other missions.
