The summer has almost come to an end, and depending on who's talking, it's closing with a big bang or a big bust. The long anticipated correction of the overheated domestic stock market finally occurred in August. The Dow Jones industrial average closed on Sept. 4 at 16,102.38, down almost 10% in 2015. From its high of 18,351.36 on May 19 to its 15,370.33 low set on Aug. 24, the Dow plunged 16.2%. Chicken Little prophets of doom have emerged with different sets of anxious worries.
