The recovery of the mohair market continued on the 6th sale of the 2010 winter season, which took place in Port Elizabeth on November 16. A total of 96,818 kg was offered, a 97.7% clearance. The average market indicator increased by 8% from the previous sale to close on R83.84. The adult mohair market continued its upward trend, with increased demand from the Far East and only one sale remaining for this winter season. A good quality offering of kids and young goats resulted in good demand for these categories with signs of improved interest in the kid mohair market.
