Chinese cashmere market soaring

A range of factors lie behind the soaring Chinese cashmere market, according to G Schneider, a leading trader and processor of luxury natural fibres. The company said that the reasons include strong closing prices in Mongolia, booming international demand for cashmere products, the hint of a recovery in Europe and the US, concerns over RMB revaluation, and strong increases in Chinese labour costs.
