The progress made by the International Wool Textile Organisation'srnlobbying project, the increasing awareness among top architectsrnabout the benefits of wool, and concerns over the continuing threatrnof mulesing were all key issues at the 2010 IWTO Annual Congress.rnOn May 19, the European Parliament voted in favour of an issue raised by the International Wool Textile Organisation (IWTO), resulting in a new EU regulation - pending ratification by the European Council of Ministers - stating that all felted products must be labelled, specifying the content of the material. The new regulation will mean that a felt product made from synthetics cannot be sold without specifying that it is made from such fibres, and is likely to make significant progress in the move to ensure consumers are aware that not all felt products are made from wool.
