The fourth sale of the 2010 summer season was held in Port Elizabeth on April 22 with 211,613 kg on offer. A large quantity of very good quality summer kid mohair was on offer, but unfortunately the market was not yet ready to take up this part of the offering. Thisrnresulted in a large quantity of kid mohair being kept back, with a low sales clearance of 31.7%. A highest price of R280.00 was paid for a bale of 25 micron super style summer kid mohair. The young goat and adult market once again experienced strong competition from buyers, with the greasy exporters still competing strongly.
