Curtis opens new Enco lab

A new laboratory which provides environmental testing and consultancy for the textile industry in the UK and across the world has been officially opened by Curtis Wool Direct. The Bradford, West Yorkshire-based wool merchant purchased ENco Global Testing Services - previously part of the Confederation of British Wool Textiles (CBWT) - last year following the closure of the CBWT. At a special event on January 21, Yorkshire businesswoman and British Wool Marketing Board member Judith Donovan marked the official opening of the laboratory and said that "this is not just about the opening of a lab - it shows that the wool industry does have a future in Bradford."
