Whatever the international TV channels in the hotel rooms were saying about business prospects, an upbeat mood gradually grew at Milano Unica (September 13-15). Milan took matters head-on, celebrating the creativity and originality on display during the week, with another edition of Milano Unica's spectacular On Stage productions, this time set on an ancient ultra-fashionable canal, the Alzaia Naviglio Grande. Fashion folk mingled in the dark with the public, looking into the waters where models walked on a floating runway, with a giant glittering Woolmark, Milano Unica's partner for the show, overhead.
