One of the recent successes within the US wool sector is a commitment from the domestic wool-sock industry to purchase American wool. This interest is credited to the 'buy American' movement, the development of new military products and to the reintroduction of the superwash process into the US through American Sheep Industry Association (ASI) programmes.
