Moorbrook in £600k deal with Daks

Scottish textile manufacturer Moorbrook Textiles Ltd has signed a £600,000 deal with UK fashion brand Daks. The licensee agreement means the woven textile producer will supply custom-made scarves under the Daks label for three years. As a result, the manufacturer anticipates the recruitment of six new full-time staff members at its manufacturing site in Peebles over the next six months. Moorbrook also plans to launch an apprentice employment programme to take on four modern apprentices at both its facilities in Ayr and Peebles, Scotland. Over the past year the Moorbrook Textiles Group, which comprises Alex Begg & Company, Robert Noble and Replin Fabrics, has seen growth of 21 %.
