Scottish family business Murray Hogarth may be small in numbers, but it is big on ambition. Based in Selkirk in the Scottish Borders, Murray Hogarth is a third generation family business specialising in knitted and woven fashion accessories. Founded by James Charles Hogarth, his son Charles now holds the position of managing director, with granddaughter Alex recently appointed head of design. The small but busy team works on a combination of sourcing, product development and in-house design. The company has a wholesale arm selling luxury cashmere, lambswool and Merino fashion accessories, as well as pashminas sourced from indigenous sources. Murray Hogarth also has a consumer website and boutique shops selling its original House of Hogarth collection of natural fibre fashion scarves in a variety of colours, textures and patterns.
