In January a fire ripped through garment factory Smart Export in Dhaka, Bangladesh, resulting in the death of seven people. Back in November, 100 workers lost their lives in a blaze at Tazreen Fashions. The International Labor Rights Forum (ILRF) reports that since 1990 over 1,000 people have been killed in garment factories in the country.
