Colour reigned supreme at Pitti Immagine Filati as pretty pastels were presented alongside shocking pinks, electric blu and orange. Lightweights were dominant from fine cotton and Merino to superlight silks and cashmere. Janet Prescott reports from Florence. Very beautiful things were on show at Pitti Immagine Filati, Europe's most influential yarn show. Bright but well chosen colours to lift the spirits were accented with white, setting the scene for spring/ summer. Unusual constructions and blends combined to show off the best of the sophisticated industry for the 2014 season.
