The famous British worsted fabric manufacturer Taylor & Lodge (Huddersfield) Ltd is attracting increased interest in its mohair fabrics not only in its well-established markets such as Japan, but also among a growing number of international fashion brands. William Halstead, the Taylor & Lodge sales director, told Twist that Calvin Klein recently booked an order for the Taylor & Lodge signature mohair quality, its famous '777', a blend of 40% Super 120's wool with 60% summer kid mohair. He said that the mill is seeing sustained interest in its mohair fabrics "because Taylor & Lodge has been supplying top quality, high content mohairs for 80 years or more and the quality is well-established and trusted." He added: "Whilst Taylor & Lodge is not necessarily seen as a mohair mill by those not in the know, the connoisseurs of top quality mohairs know and trust the mohairs produced at Taylor & Lodge and keep coming back to buy these luxurious qualities."
