The chairman of the Indonesian Textile Association (API) has expressed cautious optimism about President Donald Trump's rejection of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade pact, and re-confirmed the need to boost Indonesia's competitiveness. President Trump pulled the US out of the agreement on January 23 and, while it could be bad news for the other 11 TPP partners, the deal had yet to include Indonesia.
