India's Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council (TEXPROCIL), one of the oldest textile export promotion councils in India, is looking forward to an Indian-government promoted major conference and exhibition - 'Textiles India - 2017' - to be held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat from June 30 to July 2. The event, which is being jointly organised by TEXPROCIL with bodies such as the country's ministry of textiles and the Confederation of Indian Industry, will showcase the rich heritage of India's textile sector to a global audience. Being inaugurated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the goal is to make this an annual event. Senior executives and officials from the ministries of textiles, finance and commerce, as well as major textile industry companies from across India, are expected to participate.
