Woola raises €450k to help companies replace bubble wrap with wool

Estonian startup Woola has announced that it has closed an investment round of €450,000 led by Ragnar Sass, the co-founder of cloud-based sales software company Pipedrive and coworking hub and startup founders network Lift99. Woola has created a solution out of waste wool that can be used as an alternative to bubble wrap. The company, based in Tallinn, said it will use the funds to scale the production, grow the team, further develop the product, and expand to new markets. “Woola takes the waste of one industry – leftover wool – and uses it to solve the waste problem of another – online shopping,” it states, adding that wool is protective, lightweight and compostable.
