Pitti Immagine Filati, held in Florence on 26-28 June, showing yarns for autumn/ winter 2020/21, reflected the green agenda embedded in luxury collections. Yarns and fibres are at the forefront of efforts to radically trim overproduction and waste, and ensure verifiable process. 'Second life cycles' is the new term applied to the use of high-quality recycled materials, as at Filidea, Filpucci and others, while detailed information on green measures was widespread, many with embedded systems.
