Dugdale Bros launches 100% British-made cotton collection

UK cloth merchant Dugdale Bros & Co, based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, has launched a new collection of 25 cotton cloths with a uniquely British provenance. Entirely made in the UK using Supima yarn from English Fine Cottons, Dugdale Bros claims that the range is the first cotton collection for tailors in 50 years to have been spun, dyed, woven and finished in England. The collection is called 'Cottonopolis' after the 19th century nickname given to Manchester during its time at the centre of the global cotton textile industry. Aside from the origin of the cotton fibre itself, the provenance of the Cottonopolis collection lies entirely in the North of England.
