Certain anatomical, physical and chemical properties of branch-wood produced after pruning of fruit-tree-tree planta- tions (i.e.apple, perach, pear, apricot and cherry) were in- vestigated From the speies studied, the branch-wood of apple and pear threes belongs to the diffuse porous group and is characterized by homocellular rays, the branch-wood of apple and pear tress belongs to the diffuse porous group and is characterized by homocellular rays, whilst that of peach, cherry and apricot to the ring prous group with heterocellular rays.
