lenty of '80s franchises have tried-and failed-tocome back from the dead. So it may come as a surprise that, at nearly 30 years old, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are alive and kicking. The reptilian GMOs named after Renaissance masters still have the world wrapped around their nunchakus, having spawned a global empire of four films, three TV shows, 21 videogames, onehair(less) metal band, a Jell-0 libation, a mini pizza catapult, tur-Troll dolls, designer yarmulkes, scratch-and-sniff stickers, and sundry other schlock. We chart their enduring sludge-to-riches story.
