摘要

Four typical lay direction arrangement cases for laying IWRC 7 X 7 wire rope were analysed. The results show that the stress and strain are non-uniformly distributed along the helical wire of the strand. Also, the changing amplitude of the stress and strain in the secondary laying is apparently larger than that in one lay. It can be seen that the flexibility of the lang lay is better than that of the regular lay, while shape stability in the regular lay is better than that in the lang lay.
