CARR DRIVES IT HOME

"The problem is piling up" by David Carr -Wings July/August 2010: I came across Wings magazine while awaiting an appointment and was pleasantly surprised to read about the positive changes being made to "green" the aviation industry. David Carr's article was especially interesting to read. While my family and friends travel frequently via plane, I haven't had the pleasure for almost 20 years. But 20 years ago I was very concerned about the lack of attention to the huge volume of disposable waste that accumulated during an airplane trip. I hope Mr. Carr's article inspires the proper authorities to wake up and implement the necessary changes. There is no excuse. The aviation industry needs to implement a zero waste program.
