Bombardier left this year's Farnborough International Airshow with a thicker order book for its CSeries jetliner. The performance was in sharp contrast to 2010, when the airframer was shut out of orders for the single-aisle twinjet at the biannual show. There was also news at the show that low-cost operator AirAsia has held preliminary talks with Bombardier to buy up to 100 of a 160-seat version of the larger CSeries CS300.Latvia-based airBaltic and an undisclosed customer have signed a letter of intent (LOI)and placed a conditional order respectfully for up to 35 aircraft. airBaltic is looking to acquire 10 CS300 aircraft and take purchase rights on an additional 10 CS300. The company already operates a fleet of eight Q400 NextGen turboprops.
