Stand Up for Business Aviation

After 10 months in my position, I have come to realize that I have landed at the CBAA at one of its most critical times in its 52 years. We are battling back from what I consider a wrongly-motivated smear campaign that attacked the integrity and trustworthiness of one of the safest sectors in aviation. If ever there was truth to the saying "you are only as safe as your last accident", what the CBAA has been through exemplifies how true it is. Here is the safest aviation sector in the world and because of two accidents, years past, with no direct fault to CBAA, the BA sector gets hammered by the bureaucrats and then demolished by the politicians who never took the time to know us. That attitude continues today as business aviation fights for its life against destructive regulations that do not take into consideration the owner-pilot flying his own business aircraft.
