The winner of the Association of Naval Aviation's Tactical Aviation Award for 2021 is LCDR Jamison Schrock of Strike Fighter Squadron 146 (VFA-146), the "Blue Diamonds". LCDR Jamison "Paul Walker Jr." Schrock hails from Farmington Hills, Michigan and received his degree and commission from the United States Naval Academy in 2010. He earned his Wings of Gold with Training Squadron 21 (VT-21)inKingsville, Texas and reported to Strike Fighter Squadron 122 (VFA-122) in Lemoore, California for initial F/A-18 Super Hornet training. He then reported to the "Warhawks" of Strike Fighter Squadron 97 (VFA-97) and deployed to PACOM in 2016 aboard USS John C. Stennis (CVN-74). He was selected to attend the U.S. Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN) in Fallon, Nevada in 2017 and then served as a Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor and Air-to-Air Mission Planning Subject Matter Expert at Strike Fighter Weapons School Pacific in Lemoore from 2017 to 2019. He then reported to his current command, the VFA-146 "Blue Diamonds", where he has served as Training Officer during two deployments to PACOM aboard USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71), in 2020 and 2021.
