Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) have become the buzzwords for disaster planning in the United States over the past 5 years. Since the activities of the September 11 terrorist hijackings and bioterrorist anthrax attacks, the interest has widened to include all health care providers in the United States and throughout the world, not just those interested in disaster preparedness.
