摘要

Abstract—Design rules for small power T2 and T3 compact fluorescentnlamps (CFLs) with power ranging from 5 to 23 W were investigated tondevelop high efficiency lamps. The relationships between lightnperformance, electrical characteristics and tube design were studied.nPhenomenological formulas of light efficacy were deduced from thenexperimental data. Calculations based on the design formulas arencompared with the measured data for several brands and powers ofnlamps to verify the validity of the design formulas. The calculations fitnwell with the measured data. Maps relating light efficacy, lamp powernand lamp geometry were created from the phenomenological formulas.nThe maximum light efficacy curves produced provide guidance for thendevelopment of high efficacy CFL lamps.
