Abstract—Optimized cooling design of outdoor LED luminaires,nand other outdoor electronics, is not possible without betternknowledge of ambient cooling conditions and their variation.nTemperatures and wind speeds have a significant effect on heatntransfer between the enclosure surfaces and their surroundings.nIn the case of LEDs, where optical characteristics, reliability, andnlifetime depend strongly on temperature, information on not onlynthe worst case, but also on average operating conditions isnneeded.
