In order to improve the extrapolation of the rating curves, EDF DTG has started a campaign of topographic measurement and hydraulic modeling for 170 hydrometric stations of its network. For each station, a study describing the morphology, the geology and the hydrology is realized. Topographic data, including the leveling of the staff gauge and the survey of some cross-sections of interest, are measured. A 1D hydraulic model is built and used to compute a modeled rating curve up to the 100 years flood discharge. The reassessment of a flood discharge on the hydrometric station of the Ceron at Saint Georges de Luzencon is detailed as an example.
