Durapipe says the welding of Vulcathene Enfusion pipework joints is easier following the introduction of a hand-held electrofusion welding unit - installers can make secure, welded joints remote from the power source. The Enfusion unit weighs 1kg and has an output lead of more than 10m, allowing installers to weld multiple joints remotely in minutes. It self tests when switched on, counts down the remaining fusion time and automatically adjusts the time needed according to varying ambient conditions.
