3D modelling gives clearer view of pressure repair

Gha livigunn has supplied detailed 3D visualisation for a new pressure chamber and discharge pipe system at Blackpool's Manchester Square Outfall Pumping Station. The company worked with KMI Plus and MWH on the project. Refurbishment of the pumping station beneath the Promenade revealed an issue with high-surge pressures. The system had to be resealed and pressurised to reduce possible premature wastewater discharge during poor weather conditions, and to minimise the likelihood of tidal ingress.
