Consulling Engineer Richard Allitt Associates got its company logo - raa - on both cockpit surrounds of the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes cars driven by Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button when they appeared at Silverstone on July 7. The logo appearance was the prize for the company being the lucky winner of a unique Vodafone VIP competition. On Friday July 6, managing director Richard Allitt and principal Martin Allitt were whisked by buggy to the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Brand Centre in the Paddock. In the garage area they met Lewis Hamilton who, after hearing they are consulting engineers specialising in drainage and flooding, smiled and commented on how bad the water was on the track.
